England boss Fabio Capello has insisted a fit David Beckham will definitely be in his World Cup squad.
Beckham will start his second loan spell at Serie A side AC Milan this week and will remain until the end of the season in a bid to retain his England place and Capello says if the LA Galaxy midfielder impresses as much as he did during his first loan spell last year, he will be on the plane to South Africa.
“Of course, if he plays well and is fit I will include him in my squad,” Capello told Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I don’t look at age, I pay attention to quality and David has a lot.
“He’s serious, he’s a great professional and he’s crazy about the World Cup.”
He added: “He will again do good for Milan because he has the right head on his shoulders.”
