Bershawn Jackson has hit back at Great Britain’s star hurdler Dai Greene after the reigning world champion took a swipe at the American 400m hurdlers for failing to medal last summer in Daegu, Korea.

“Greene said ‘he knew we weren’t going to medal; we were too overrated,” Jackson was quoted as telling fastlifeshow.com.
“What does he mean by being ‘overrated?’ I don’t know.
“You’re talking about a guy who won the Worlds in 48.2.
“The time he ran with wasn’t outstanding and it wasn’t a point where he just basically dominated the event.”
The Americans failed to get amongst the medallist in Daegu – with Jackson being the best placed finished at sixth with a time of 49.24 seconds.
However, the 2005 World Championships gold medallist from Helsinki, had an explanations as to why U.S. failed to keep the tradition of finishing on he podium.
He said: “It was a situation where Angelo [Taylor] was hurt; Kerron [Clement] was hurt; I was hurt.
“It happens like that every once in a while.
“It’s going to be really difficult for Greene in his country to stop the Americans from coming and sweeping in 2012.
“He wrote a check that he can’t cash and I’m coming and you’re going to know I’m in the race.”
