Trecia Smith added to Jamaica's Olympic team

KINGSTON -- Trecia Smith, the 2005 World triple champion, has been added to Jamaica's team for the summer Olympic Games in Beijing, China.

Smith, who bound 15.11 metres, to win Jamaica's first gold in the field at a major Championships, joins the 51 other members announced on Tuesday.

The national outdoor and indoor records holder at 15.16m and 14.84m respectively, was selected base on her performance at last year's National
Championships, where she leapt 14.35m for the Olympic 'A' standard.

Masseuse Gavin James will also travel with the team.
