LaVerne Jones-Ferrette of US Virgin Islands on fire in Doha LaVerne Jones-Ferrette, the red hot favourite to win the women’s 60m dash at the IAAF World Indoor Championships fired into the final of the event with the fastest time. The US Virgin Island national record holder and fastest woman this season, at 6.97secs – posted a fast 7.05secs to top semi-final two with fellow Caribbean... 

Chambers sizzled to 6.51secs in 60m semis; Lolo just made it

Great Britain’s Dwain Chambers again looked impressive when winning his semi-final heat of the men’s 60m dash at the World Indoor Championships. Chambers, one of the favourites to win the event, clocked a sizzling 6.51seconds to qualify easily for the final race later this evening. Jamaica’s Nesta Carter, a member of the Jamaican 4x100m Olympic relay gold medal winning world record...
