Powell qualifies fastest from 100m semis – Jamaica trials

KINGSTON — Asafa Powell showed that he is running back to form when he eased into the men’s 100m finals at the Jamaica Championships on Friday.

The former Olympic champion, who has been sidelined with an ankle injury ran the fastest time of the two semis of 10.04, his quickest of the season to lead the entire field.

World record holder Usain Bolt shut things down before it even began to win the second semis in 10.11seconds.
Both sprinters will match speeds in tonight’s final race
