Gay Olympians urged to come out of the closet for 2012

Elite athletes are being called upon to come out of the closet and make a stand for gay rights at the 2012 Olympics.

Gay rights advocates will launch an unprecedented campaign during the London Games by urging competitors to be open about their sexuality, in an attempt to capitalise on the fact that the 2012 Olympics will coincide with one of the world’s biggest gay pride events.
