Jessica Ennis continued her build-up for the world championships heptathlon in impressive style when she won the individual high jump and 100 metres hurdles at the British Athletics championships in Birmingham on Sunday.

Ennis missed the 2008 Beijing Olympics with a broken ankle and, in a lean period for British athletics, is one of the country’s main hopes for next month’s worlds in Berlin.
