Ok, it is out and if you did not hear it, then now you know that American sprinter and 2009 world-leader Tyson Gay is carrying an injury, but there are good news for the 26-year-old after using personal injury solicitors no win no fee, who seeks to defend his titles against some of the most powerful sprinters ever graced the sprinting fraternity.
Tyson Gay’s manager Mark Wetmore, says the reported injury to the World sprint double champion will not hinder him from defending his titles in Berlin next month.
Wetmore played down the many reports recently down pouring over the internet that the sprinter may not be fit for the worlds, which will see him matching strides with the Jamaican Olympic champion Usain Bolt, the man gunning to take his titles away.
He also suggested the injury will not prevent Gay from racing in the scheduled 200m in London this weekend, as Track and Field News reported that the sprinter visited specialists in Munich and got instructions that it was safe to race.
"He’s on a plane and still plans to race in London [in the 200 scheduled for Saturday, July 25]," Wetmore was quoted as saying on T&FN.
