The five athletes, Asafa Powell, Shelly-Ann Fraser, Sherika Williams, Melaine Walker and Brigitte Foster Hylton, all members of the Maximising Velocity Power (MVP) Track Club, failed to show up for the mandatory camp the nation’s governing body had scheduled.

The athletes who are coached by the world-renowed Stephen Francis, went through their drug testings on Tuesday, and will join their fellow teammates in training on Wednesday, as they continue to wait on the final verdict of the Jamaican officials, who reportedly had threatened to boot them off the team.

The world championships start in Berlin this weekend.

Arthur: Are you sure the information is incorrect. I am from Jamaica and I received that information as well from someone who has been following the build-up. I am eager to hear it is not true, but I am not confident you are correct.

Hey ease up on him guys….I always liked mr Arthur’s posts, but he certainly missed the mark this time. I just think that mr Francis is selfish and his athletes are suffering for it
