ZAGREB — Veronica Campbell-Brown sped home to victory in the women’s 100 metres dash at the IAAF Grand Prix Zagreb on Monday
Getting out to a modest start, the Jamaican raced into her sprinting strides very quickly to stamp her class and win the event easily, at 11.15 seconds.
Americans Darvis Patton and Mike Rogers finished 1-2 in the men’s race, with Patton winning at the second time of asking with a new meeting record time of 9.94secs.
Rogers was second in 10.97 with Jamaica’s Olympic relay gold medalist Nesta Carter taking third in 10.04.
Great to see Nester Carter and Sherone Simpson back on the track rounding into form. Good luck guys way to go.
