The five Jamaican athletes who tested positive during the national trials will learn if they are to be punished next Tuesday, the secretary general of the governing body, the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), told AFP yesterday.
Pierre Weiss said that the Jamaican Anti-Doping Commission’s (JADCO) appeals committee was due to meet on Monday and the IAAF was hoping for its decision concerning the quintet on Tuesday.
"The three members can only get together on Monday to review the case, so we are hoping for their decision on Tuesday," said Weiss, after emerging from a meeting with the Jamaica Amateur Athletics Association (JAAA).
The five athletes where were identified as Sheri-Ann Brooks, Yohan Blake, Marvin Anderson, Lansford Spence and Allodin Fothergill, tested positive for the stimulant methylhexanamine, at the national championships in June…..Read More
