The 33rd Belgacom Memorial Van Damme can add another top player to its billing: The American Jeremy Wariner has confirmed he will take part at the 400m. Wariner, current world champion, 2004 Olympic champion and 2008 vice Olympic champion, is coming to Brussels with a goal.

"I would like to break the stadium record," Wariner said. The record-holder since 1998, with 44.06, is the legendary Michael Johnson, who just happens to be Jeremy Wariner’s mentor.
