Ladji Doucoure out of world championships

Ladji Doucoure, the 2005 World Championships gold medallist over the 110 metres hurdles from Helsinki, withdrew from the upcoming championships in Berlin because of an injury.

The French hurdler who recently recovered from sciatica, which kept him from competing at the national championships, suffered a groin injury during a weight training session and will need time to rest, the French Athletics Federation (FFA) announced.

"This injury requires complete rest for 10 days, therefore he (Doucoure) is out of the world athletics championships," the FFA said in a statement.

Put together by a member of the World-Track and Field Website team members. This is usually done by an in house member with able assistance from someone or an agency reporting from outside.
