Athletics SA (ASA) will meet on Thursday to discuss events surrounding the Caster Semenya gender verification controversy, its vice president Kakata Maponyane confirmed.

The meeting at a venue in Kempton Park was expected to begin at 10am.

ASA president Leonard Chuene has come in for severe public criticism after admitting that he lied about whether the gold medallist had had gender verification tests.
