Devastated by the news of a failed drugs test in late July which ruled him out of the Berlin World Championships, the world’s fastest teenager, Yohan Blake, has vowed to better his personal best of 9.93 seconds over 100 metres next year.
“This has been a delay of success for what was happening on the circuit. When I first heard about this I was shocked, but with the help of my coach (Glen) Mills, Carole Beckford and Arlene Martin, it has helped me a lot,” Blake told the Observer.
