It is believed that coach Lance Brauman was not properly informed about his separation with long-time pupil Veronica Campbell-Brown, but responded to the news with a “no big deal” reaction.

Brauman, who guided Campbell-Brown to back-to-back Olympic Games 200m crowns during their six year stint, parted company with the Jamaican sprinter earlier this week.

“That’s the word I heard, we severed our relationship, we both moved forward, no big deal,” he was quoted as saying on TrackAlerts.com

In a report in the Jamaica  Observer Friday morning, Campbell-Brown said felt it was time for a chance.

“It has been a great run with coach Brauman over the last six years, but I feel it’s time for a change,” said Campbell-Brown.

The 27-year-old, along with her husband Omar and two other Jamaicansl will now move to Atlanta to train with Anthony Carpenter.
