Caster Semenya too traumatised to sit exams

Caster Semenya, South Africa’s 18-year-old 800-metre champion at the centre of intense public scrutiny over her drawn out gender verification test by the International Association of Athletics Federations, is too traumatised to sit her university exams.

Semenya’s coach told the Afrikaans daily Beeld that Semenya, over whom doubts were raised over her gender even before the final of the World Championships in Berlin in August, is only now realising what had happened to her and that it is beginning to affect her.
