KINGSTON: Glen Mills, the man who drilled the world’s fastest man, Usain Bolt to world records, Olympic and World sprint titles, said he did not resign as head of Jamaica’s track & field teams.
Reports last week stated that Mills resigned as national head coach of Jamaica’s senior national, but according to him there was an error in such reports.
“You can’t resign from being an head coach unless you have been appointed,” Mills said.
“…The appointment for head coach is done on a meet by meet, year by year basis.
“What I have done is informed the ruling body (JAAA) that I am no longer available for national duties so they will no longer put me in their pool for selection as coach or head coach for any future games,” he added…..
