SINGAPORE: Former world 100m record holder, Asafa Powell, the two-time World Championships bronze medalist, went sailing on Saturday. Powell was taken to new Extremes when he stepped on board double-Olympic Gold Medallist Shirley Robertson’s catamaran racing in the Extreme Sailing Series Asia in Singapore.
Powell, who is in Singapore as part of the Jamaican Government payback for the repairs which investors in the Asian country will carry out on Jamaica’s National Stadium complex, was a guest on Rumbo Almeria, one of six teams taking part in the second leg of the Series in Marina Reservoir.
