Triple jumper Karailiev named Bulgarian Athlete of the Year

Triple Jump star Momchil Karailiev was presented with the Bulgarian Athlete of the Year award at a glittering ceremony organised by the Bulgarian Athletics Federation in Sofia last week.

The 27-year-old Karailiev enjoyed a great outdoor season during the year, reaching the men’s Triple Jump final at the IAAF World Championships in Athletics in Berlin and claiming a bronze medal at the World Athletics Final in Thessaloníki, Greece.

Karailiev’s coach Atanas Ivanov was named as the Coach of the Year. The two were congratulated by Bulgaria’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Tzvetan Tzvetanov, and Svilen Neykov, the minister of physical education and sports…..Read More
