Odean Skeen led Wolmers Boys to a new Penn Relays record on their way to winning the High School Boys’ 4×100 Championship of America race on Saturday.

Skeen, who dominated the U17 category at the recently concluded CARIFTA Games in the Cayman Islands, got his team off to a fast start as the Jamaican school dominated – clocking a blistering 39.78seconds.

In fact, Jamaican high schools swept the top four places – with former champions Camperdown High (40.61), St. George’s (40.97) and defending champions Calabar (41.01) finished to a loud cheer from the thousands of Jamaican supporters.

According reports, the man behind the sprinter’s success is their former coach Stephen Francis – coach of former world record holder Asafa Powell and Shelly Ann Fraser who won world and Olympic 100m crowns.
