The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) are reportedly under attack from their own European federation for the excessive spending.
According Sportsmail, the Athletics’ world governing body overspend in their budget last year – which is threatening their financial future.
The report went on to say that European Athletic Association (EAA) claim the IAAF overspent by $10million last year and is on the verged of spending just as much again this year.
Earlier this year, a report claimed that the IAAF will cut down on the number of reports they take from correspondents this season, so as to stay within their budget after being accused by the ruling council of the EAA of endangering the future of the sport by exceeding their income.
