Wilson Kipsang of Kenya shattered the Frankfurt Marathon course record and ran the 10th fastest time over the distance on Sunday.

The 28-year-old Kipsang took advantage of mild conditions and finished in 2 hours, 4 minutes, 57 seconds to become the eighth fastest marathon runner.

The Frankfurt Marathon became only the fourth event after Berlin, Rotterdam and Dubai with a course record under 2:05 hours.
