The IAAF is seeking an Events Coordinator for our Competitions Department
The position will report to the Director of Competitions
Start date: February 2011 or before
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• COORDINATE THE GENERAL EVENT ORGANISATIONAL ASPECTS OF ASSIGNED IAAF EVENTS INCLUDING THE PREPARATION OF MATERIAL AND REPORTS AND TRAVEL TO EVENTS
• PRIMARY LIAISON BETWEEN IAAF AND LOCAL ORGANISING COMMITTEE FOR ASSIGNED EVENTS FOR ALL GENERAL OPERATIONAL AND LOGISTICAL MATTERS
REQUIREMENTS:
LANGUAGES
• ENGLISH
• FRENCH
• OTHER LANGUAGES CONSIDERED AN ASSET
EXPERIENCE
• AT LEAST FIVE YEARS PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN MAJOR SPORTS EVENT ORGANISATION / ADMINISTRATION
• ABILITY TO MANAGE VARIOUS SIMULTANEOUS PROJECTS
DIPLOMAS
• UNIVERSITY DEGREE OR EQUIVALENT
GENERAL
• MUST HAVE EXCELLENT WRITING AND ORAL PRESENTATION SKILLS IN ENGLISH
• GOOD WRITING SKILLS IN FRENCH WOULD BE AN ADVANTAGE
