Steeplechase runner Jose Luis Blanco is reportedly under investigation by the Spanish athletics governing body, reports say on Thursday.

A report by the Associated Press claimed that the Spaniard admits that he is being investigated “after a failed drug test.”

The 35-year-old, said the federation contacted him about the incident this week – revealing to him the failed drug test from July 18.

Blanco has denied doing anything wrong.

He reportedly said: “I’ve never committed any offense in my career … and I have nothing to hide or be ashamed of.”

Blanco said he has undergone nine separate tests in four different countries between June 14-Sept. 4.
