Olympic Champion Wanjiru Charged With Threatening To Kill His Wife

Samuel Wanjiru, the Olympic marathon gold medallist on Thursday was charged with threatening to kill his wife, with an illegal firearm, reports claimed.

The Daily Nation reports that Wanjiru, who threatened his wife Tereza Njeri, was also charged with threatening to kill house keeper, Nancy Njoki.

He reportedly wounded a security guard as well.

But Wanjiru, a Chicago and London marathon champion, has denied all charges against him and said that he had been falsely accused.
