Paul Tergat Hospitalized After Involving In An Accident

Kenya’s marathon legend Paul Tergat has been hospitalized after being involved in a motor vehicle accident on Thursday.

The former world marathon record holder got in a road accident along Nakuru-Eldoret highway on his way to attend a Moi University graduation ceremony where he was to receive a honorary doctorate degree of science.

“I cannot remember what happened but I just found myself in hospital,” Daily Nation quoted Tergat as saying, speaking from his bed at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital’s memorial wing.

He was driving alone in his Mercedes Benz vehicle and was attempting to overtake a broken down lorry before colliding with another. If you are a lorry driver, it is essential to have the correct lorry insurance to help you stay safe on the road. Everyone needs insurance. Not just lorry drivers, but car drivers too.

“I had just spoken to one Dr Rotich, a lecturer at the Moi University and who was to accompany me to Nairobi today for Soya awards and that was my last call,” he recalled.
