Bolt was disqualified in the 100m final, but blasted his way to victory in the 200m in a flashing world-leading 19.40 seconds – the fourth fastest time ever.
He will join the Jamaican team tonight as they seek to defend their sprint relay crown.
Jamaica will be doing so, however, without Asafa Powell, who pulled out of the championships with a groin injury.
Bernard Lagat, Galen Rupp take on the Kenyans in the men’s 5,000m, while Caster Semenya, Ekaterina Kostetskaya, Kenia Sinclair and Mariya Savinova go for the women 800m title.
