Sprinter Tyson Gay has no plans to race too many time leading up to the American Olympic trials in June.

Gay, the 2007 sprint double world champion, is recovering from hip surgery and has not been able to do a full out training session as yet.

He’s hoping to return to full fitness ahead of the trials and will bank on his experience to see him through.

“That’s scary,” Gay admitted, “but that’s my plan. I may try to get once race in then before then; I’m not sure.

“I plan on taking all the years of muscle memory and all the years of learning and put it together at the trials.”
