IAAF World Championships Day 7 Results From Finals

BEIJING, China – Results from the finals that took place on Day 7 at the IAAF World Championships in Athletics in Beijing, China, on Friday.

There were four finals contests on the day – three on the women’s side and one in the men’s category.

Dutch sprinter Dafne Schippers won the women’s 200m titles with stunning run of 21.63 seconds to beat Jamaica’s Elaine Thompson, who ran a personal best as well, at 21.66 and Veronica Campbell-Brown of Jamaica (21.97).

Jamaica’s Danielle Williams won the women’s 100m hurdles, while American Tianna Bartoletta produced a massive world leading 7.14m to take the women’s long jump gold medal.

On the men’s side, Russia’s Sergey Shubenkov finished first in the men’s 100m hurdles in 12.98, a new national record.
