The final medal standing at the IAAF World U20 Championships Bydgoszcz 2016, with USA stealing the show over the six days of competition.

At the end of the championships, USA finished with 21 medals, including 11 goal, which was more than twice as many as any other team in Poland.

The world powerhouses also finished with six silver medals and four bronze.

Their overall medal tally was also more than double their closest challengers, Ethiopia, while securing all four relay gold medals on offer.

Kenya finished second in the medal standing with five gold medals and a tally of nine overall, with Ethiopia ending with 10 medals, which included four golds.

Cuba, with three gold medals and five overall and Jamaica, with two golds and eight medals total, completed the top five teams in the medal standing.

Rounding out the top 10 teams in the standing are Poland, Germany, China, Qatar and Bahrain.

A total of 20 countries won at least a gold medal, while no fewer than 38 nations won at least one medal.
