BYDGOSZCZ, POLAND – Here are some photos from the morning session on Day 1 at the IAAF World U20 Championships Bydgoszcz 2016 on Tuesday.

Poland’s Konrad Bukowiecki was among the highlighted athletes on the first day of competition after he heaved a massive 23.34m to set a new U20 World Record en route to winning the men’s Shot Put final.

Over 1500 athletes are gathered in Poland for one of the biggest edition of the IAAF World U20 Championships and lots of action is expected from the youngster, who are the future stars of track and field.

Several of the world’s best, including the most talked about track and field athlete in the last eight-years, Usain Bolt of Jamaica, got their respective careers rolling at these championships and have gone on to win either the Olympic or World Championship title.

Bolt, who is a six-time Olympic Games champion owns the world records for both the 100m and 200m events.
