World-leader Omar McLeod, the world indoor 60m hurdles champion and Hansel Parchment, the Olympic Games bronze medallist from London 2012 will both start in the men’s 110m hurdles semis and will be hoping to battle it out for the national title and a place to Rio 2016.

The 400m semi-finals should answer a number of questions, especially on the men’s side, where several athletes, including national record holder Rusheen McDonald will be hoping to improve on their performances.

There will be no Usain Bolt in the men’s 200m semi-finals, after he was forced to withdraw from the national championships because of a hamstring injury.

Bolt did submit a medical exemption, however, so if he’s fit, he will be available for selection.

Yohan Blake and Elaine Thompson will start their hunt to win sprint double title when they go in the 200m.
