
BYDGOSZCZ, Poland – Medal standings after the first day of competition at the IAAF World U20 Championships Bydgoszcz 2016 on Tuesday.
Three gold medals were handed out on Day 1, with China, Kenya and Poland capturing those titles.
Highlighting the gold medal winners on Tuesday was Poland’s Konrad Bukowiecki, who produced a World U20 record mark of 23.34m to win the men’s Shot Put title.
Also winning medals on Day 1 were Eritrea, Italy and Romania which picked up silver medals, while Ethiopia, Uganda and the United States all picked up bronze medals.
