The men’s 60m will feature two heats that begin at 2:39 p.m. with the top two finishers in each heat, plus the next best four fastest times will secure a spot in the final.

Grasse of Canada will line up in heat one against seven others, including Olympic 110m hurdles champion McLeod of Jamaica. Both sprinters are hoping to improve on their respective personal bests.

Among the others lining up in the first heat is former NCAA star Divine Oduduru of Nigeria, while Demek Kemp will start with the fastest personal best at 6.48 seconds.

World Indoor champion from 2016 Trayvon Bromell of USA leads the list of starters in the second heat.

Bromell, who has been hampered by injuries in the past few seasons, is hoping to get his campaign off to a good start.

Also starting in heat two is indoor specialist Marvin Bracy, a silver medallist over the 60m for the USA at the World Indoor Championships in 2014.

Great Britain’s Gemili, Jamaicans Andre Ewers, and Tyquendo Tracey, along with USA’s Cordero Gray will also be hunting spots in the final.

Christopher Belcher of USA and Jamaican Senoj-Jay Givans are also a pair of sprinters to watch for in this early season.
