CLERMONT, FL — Jeremy Bacom and Noah Lyles lead the list of qualifiers for the men’s 60 meters final at the Orange Winter Classic outdoor meet in Clermont, FL, on Friday.

The final is set for 6:00 p.m. ET.

Bacom and Lyles each posted 6.66 seconds to win the first and third heats respectively. Both times, however, were done above the 2.0m/s wind reading, with Bacom +2.1 and Lyles by +2.3.

Jaylen Bacon, who finished atop of the second heat, had the third quickest time on the day with 6.68, but his performance was done in a +1.4 m/s wind reading.

Trinidadian 200m specialist Jereem Richards clocked 6.73 seconds for second place behind Bacon and booked a spot in the final, which will run in three sections.

Meanwhile, Great Britain’s Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake could only managed a time of 6.82 seconds for third in heat one.

Bacon, Lyles, Bacom and Kevaun Rattray (6.71) will race in the first section of the final, with Tony McQuay (6.71), Tahir Walsh (6.75), and Jakali Harvey (6.78) in section two of the finals.
