BOSTON — The leading results from the 12th annual B.A.A. 5-K 2022 with Ethiopia’s Senbere Teferi and Canada’s Charles Philibert-Thiboutot taking the women’s and men’s respective titles on Saturday (16).

Teferi, who went into the race targeting the world record, missed out on that milestone, but still ran a fast time —fast enough for her to set a course record with 14:49. Her run saw her breaking Molly Huddle’s 2015 standard by one second.

The top five finishers were rounded out by Weini Kelati (15:04), Sharon Lokedi (15:16), Elly Henes Henes (15:22), and Emily Durgin (15:23).

The men’s contest, in the meantime, was won by Philibert-Thiboutot, who broke the tape at 13:35. Read more: RRW: Course –but not world– record for Senbere Teferi at B.A.A. 5-K
