American sprint star Christian Coleman will open his season attempting to win the sprint double at 2023 Razorback Invitational.

The 2023 Razorback Invitational is set to kick off this Friday in Fayetteville, AR, and fans of track and field are in for a treat as several top athletes, including world indoor record holder for the 60 meters, Christian Coleman, will feature at the event. Sprint ace Abby Steiner, Lolo Jones, Aleia Hobbs and Taliyah Brooks are also on the list of American stars featuring at the meet.

What events will Christian Coleman run at 2023 Razorback Invitational?

Coleman, who will be making his season debut, will lineup in both the men’s 60m and 200m races. The meet will be live streamed on Friday and Saturday via SEC Network + and you can watch the American in action. Read more: How to watch the 2023 Razorback Invitational?

Some of the leading talents lining against Coleman in the men’s sprints include Laquan Nairn from the Bahamas, Raymond Ekevwo from Nigeria, and Tinotenda Matiyenga from Zimbabwe, among others.

Coleman will get his 2023 campaign underway in heat 1 of the men’s 60m open against Peyton Johnston, Ian Braxton, Coleman, Will London, and Trace Foreman, all from the United States. The second heat will feature Nairn, Ekevwo, Matiyenga, and Marcus McCoy from the United States. Only the heat winner and the next 6 fastest times will advance to the final.

Meanwhile, in the men’s 200m open, section 1 will feature Grant Williams and Quivell Jordan-Bacot from the United States, plus Jamaica’s 400m hurdler Jaheel Hyde. Coleman will aim to win the sprint double when he lines up in section 2 will feature against Ekevwo, London, and another 400m hurdler, Khallifah Rosser from the United States.

Several other top Americans, including Tara Davis, Anna Cockrell, Dalilah Muhammad and Shamier Little are also competing at the meet in Fayetteville this week.
