Marcell Jacobs, Olympic and world indoor champion, plans to compete for his third consecutive victory in the 60m event at the Meeting Hauts-de-France Pas-de-Calais during the World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold meeting in Lievin on February 15th.

The Italian previously won in Lievin in 2021 and 2022, and went on to win the European indoor title, Olympic 100m and 4x100m gold, and World Indoor title in Belgrade, where he set a European indoor record of 6.41.

This event will be Jacobs’ second confirmed competition of the season, he will first be competing at the ORLEN Cup Lodz, a World Athletics Indoor Tour Bronze meeting, in Poland on February 4th.

He will be joining other global gold medallists such as Mondo Duplantis, Katie Moon, Jakob Ingebrigtsen, Grant Holloway, and Keely Hodgkinson. Read more: Holloway and Hodgkinson confirmed for Lievin meet
