Texas Tech University’s Sports Performance Center will play host to the 2023 Big 12 Indoor Track and Field Championships on Friday, February 24th, and Saturday, February 25th, and you can watch live streaming coverage at Big 12 Now online! This will be the third time in the last five years that Texas Tech will be hosting the championships, and I can’t wait!

The University of Texas swept both the men’s and women’s indoor titles for the second consecutive year last season, and the teams will be aiming for another sweep in Lubbock.
The Longhorns scored 171 and 136 points, to claim the respective team crowns in 2022, with Jacolby Shelton from Texas Tech and Cailie Logue from Iowa State finishing as last year’s high-point scorers.
The Championship’s events began on Friday with the women’s pentathlon 60m hurdles, while the men’s 4x400m relay concluded events on Saturday. BIG 12 Conference Ranked Teams
Among the men’s teams, four sit in the top-25, with three in the top 10: No. 3 Texas Tech, No. 5 Texas, No. 6 Oklahoma State, and No. 23 Oklahoma. On the women’s side, Texas sits at No. 1, while Texas Tech is No. 14 and Oklahoma State is No. 23.
The Big 12 conference currently holds four NCAA-leading marks. Yusuf Bizimana from Texas leads the nation in the 800m, while Oklahoma State sits atop the distance medley relay for the men.
Rhasidat Adeleke from Texas holds this season’s best time in the 400m, and teammate Julien Alfred leads the nation in the 60m run. In the women’s 200m, the Big 12 holds six of the best 10 times in the event.
