Jadin O’Brien, a sophomore from Notre Dame, clinched the gold medal in the women’s Pentathlon at the 2023 Atlantic Coast Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships held at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center.

O’Brien’s exceptional performance started with a time of 8.53 seconds in the 60m hurdles, followed by a high jump of 1.71m and a shot put of 13.68m.
In the long jump, she leaped 5.90m, and she completed the Pentathlon with a remarkable 2:13.95 finish for 900 points, securing her win. Her performance set the tone for the three-day championship for the Irish.
Alix Still of Virginia, with 4177 points, took home the silver medal, setting a new personal best. Brianna Smith of Duke rounded out the podium with 4141 points, also a personal best.
The top six finishers, including Alaina Brady from Notre Dame, Ilse Steigenga from Pittsburgh, and Addison Berry from Wake Forest, all recorded personal bests, while eight of the top ten finishers set new personal records.
