Madrid, Spain, (26 March) Kenya’s Hillary Kipkoech and Zewditu Aderaw of Ethiopia emerged victorious in the men’s and women’s categories, respectively, at the Movistar Madrid Medio Maratón 2023 on Sunday, March 26. The following are the latest results from this year’s races.
Kipkoech claimed the top spot in the men’s race, crossing the finish line with a time of 59:56. Meanwhile, Aderaw took home the women’s title with a time of 1:07:38. Alemitu Tariku, also of Ethiopia, finished second with a personal best time of 1:07:49, while Ayinadis Teshome earned bronze with a time of 1:09:02.
The top five in the women’s category were completed by Roselida Jepketer of Bahrain (1:09:21) and Caroline Chepkemoi of Kenya (1:09:29).
