ATHENS, Ga. – The University of Georgia will host the 2023 Spec Towns & Torrin Lawrence Invitational, which will take place on Thursday, April 6, and Friday, April 7. The event was originally scheduled for three days, but due to predicted inclement weather, it has been shortened to two days.
The Spec Towns Track in Athens will be the venue for the meet, which will feature several top athletes, including Kenondra Davis, Matthew Boling, Elija Godwin, and Kyle Garland. Fans can watch live streaming coverage on the SECN+ via WatchESPN.com, and Live Results and updates will be available via PrimeTime. Thursday’s events will include the first five events of the decathlon and the first four of the heptathlon, starting at 12:30 p.m. The women’s and men’s hammer throw are also scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.
On Friday, the combined events will resume at 10:00 a.m. The final event of the meet, the men’s 4x400m relay, is scheduled to take place at around 6:00 p.m.
The 2023 Spec Towns & Torrin Lawrence Invitational is set to be an exciting event, with several of Georgia’s top athletes set to compete at the programs first home outdoor meet this season. Stay tuned for updates and results.
