
GAINESVILLE, Fla. (April 15) — The Women’s 100-meter Hurdles Olympic Development event at the 2023 Tom Jones Memorial Invitational is set to feature a strong field led by world record holder Tobi Amusan. Amusan qualified for the final with the fourth-fastest time after clocking 12.74 seconds (+1.1 m/s) in her season debut. The final will be held at the Percy Beard Track at 2:40 p.m. ET.

Meanwhile, Nia Ali, the 2019 world champion, clocked the fastest time in the qualifiers with a wind-aided 12.55 seconds (+2.8 m/s) after comfortably winning heat two ahead of Danielle Williams of Jamaica, the former world champion who finished with 12.64 seconds, and World U20 champion Kerrica Hill, also from Jamaica, who clocked 12.68 seconds.
The other qualifiers for the final include Devynne Charlton of The Bahamas, who finished second to Amusan in heat one with a time of 12.87 seconds, as well as Gabbi Cunningham of the USA, who finished as an Olympic finalist and recorded a time of 13.02 seconds.
All eyes will be on the Percy Beard Track as these top athletes compete for the coveted Women’s 100-meter Hurdles Olympic Development title at the 2023 Tom Jones Memorial Invitational.
In the men’s 110m hurdles Olympic Development event, world champion Grant Holloway clocked a swift 13.03 (+1.1 m/s) to leads the qualifiers ahead of Jamaica’s Rasheed Broadbell, who ran 13.12 and American Robert Dunning, who advanced to the final with a time of 13.40.
