The 2023 Florida FHSAA Outdoor State Championships will take in Jacksonville, Florida, from Wednesday through Saturday, 17-12 May and live streaming is available via the NFHS Network. James G. Pressly Stadium, Percy Beard Track was initially slated to host this year’s championships, but the University of Florida revealed earlier this year to the Florida High School Athletic Association that the institution would be unable to fulfill hosting event. With this in mind, fans will now travel to Visit Jax Track at Hodges Stadium in Jacksonville, on the University of North Florida campus, watch some of the best athletes in the state going head-to-head to several disciplines.
“I would like to thank the University of North Florida Athletics Department for their swift action and willingness to provide a first-class championship experience for our membership in a time of need,” Craig Damon, FHSAA Executive Director, said earlier this year.
“While disappointed in the University of Florida’s decision, we are eager to showcase our student-athletes moving forward at one of the preeminent track and field facilities in the nation.”
