
The 2023 USATF Los Angeles Grand Prix – World Athletics Continental Tour Gold series will continue this week at the UCLA Drake Stadium on Friday night, featuring some of the country’s top athletes competing at the USATF Distance Classic.

Athletes such as Elise Cranny, Courtney Frerichs, Karissa Schweizer, Julie-Anne Staehli from Canada, Aisha Praught-Leer from Jamaica, Emily Infeld, Colleen Quigley, Craig Nowak, Abdihamid Nur, Addisu Yihune from Ethiopia, and Craig Engels are among those expected to shine on the track.
In the women’s Hammer Throw, a strong field has been assembled, including Janeah Stewart, Alyssa Wilson, DeAnna Price, Annette Echikunwoke, Camryn Rogers from Canada, Janee Kassanavoid, and Brooke Andersen.
The men’s Hammer Throw also boasts exceptional talent, led by Olympic champion Wojciech Nowicki of Poland, the silver medalist at the Tokyo Games, Eivind Henriksen from Norway, and USA’s Rudy Winkler.
The women’s Pole Vault will feature World and Olympic champion Katie Moon and her compatriot Sandi Morris, the 2016 Olympic gold medalist, competing against each other once again. In the women’s Discus Throw, Olympic champion Valarie Allman will face off against Tokyo bronze medalist Yaime Perez from Cuba.
