Olympic triple jump and 200m champions Yulimar Rojas and Andre De Grasse will be hoping to take another stride towards the Wanda Diamond League Final when they line up against world-class fields at the Bislett Games in Oslo on 15 June.
Venezuela’s Rojas, a two-time Diamond League title holder in 2022, is the firm favorite to make it three consecutive Diamond Trophies this season. The world record holder and three-time world champion will launch her title defense in Oslo after missing the first competition of the season in Rabat. – Read more: Karsten Warholm headlines Oslo Diamond League 400m hurdles field
Fellow Olympic champion De Grasse has fond memories of the Bislett Games, having won in Oslo four times over the last seven years. Following his 100m victory at the Bislett Stadium last summer, De Grasse will face tough competition from the likes of Erriyon Knighton and Kenny Bednarek from the USA, as well as South Africa’s Luxolo Adams.

The men’s 400m race in Oslo will feature an impressive lineup, including 2016 Olympic champion Wayde Van Niekerk, who is making his long-awaited Diamond League return. Van Niekerk will go up against reigning Wanda Diamond League champion Kirani James.
Among the other notable athletes on the entry lists are Matthew Hudson-Smith, Champion Allison, and Muzala Samukonga, all of whom rank in the top five worldwide.
The Wanda Diamond League is the premier one-day meeting series in athletics, consisting of 14 of the most prestigious events in global track and field. Athletes compete for points at the 13 series meetings to qualify for the two-day Wanda Diamond League Final, which will take place in Eugene on September 16th-17th.
