Results 2023 USATF 25 km Championships; Korir and Saina take titles

The results from the 2023 USATF 25 km Championships as Leonard Korir retained his title and Betsy Saina secured the victory in the women’s race in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Saturday morning (13).

Defending men’s champion Korir clocked 1:14:45 to successfully defend his title after he cruised to victory ahead of Jacob Thomson, who ran 1:14:49 for second place and Brian Shrader, who clocked a time of 1:14:53 to complete the podium places. Meanwhile, Betsy Saina secured her first-ever title after winning the women’s USATF 25 km Championships crown with a time of 1:24:32. The former Kenyan representative finished ahead of Keira D’Amato, who ran 1:24:39. D’Amato also the women’s runner-up at the 2022 event.

Jessa Hanson ended with a time of 1:25:33 for third place, followed by Dakotah Lindwurm, at 1:25:58 and Nell Rojas, at 1:26:19 in rounding out the top five places.
