Recently, the American achieved a remarkable feat by joining the elite 80-meter club, securing victory with a mighty throw of 80.17m to set a lifetime best at the 2023 USATF Throws Festival in Tucson, Ariz., earlier this month.

Joining Andersen in the competition is the formidable 2019 world champion, DeAnna Price, also from the United States. Canadian world silver medalist and 2022 Commonwealth Games champion Camryn Rogers, who recently set a national record of 77.84m in Walnut, Calif., aims to build on her success and deliver another exceptional performance. Rogers is determined to surpass her personal best, and her competitors will be closely watching her progress.

Another top contender is Janee Kassanavoid from the United States, the current world bronze medalist. Kassanavoid enters tonight’s clash as the third-best thrower in the world this season with an effort of 76.60m.
