(JUNE 11) — Kenya’s Victor Kipruto Togom and Morocco’s Majida Maayouf emerged as the champions in their respective categories at the 2023 Madrid Vintage Run by Total Energies, a World Athletics Label Road Race event held in Spain on Sunday (11). Below you can find the results for the races.
In the women’s race, Maayouf crossed the finish line in 31:21, setting a new personal best and improving upon her previous lifetime best of 31:38, which she achieved earlier this year. Laura Mendez of Spain secured second place, clocking a personal best of 31:32. Viviana Aroche from Guatemala rounded out the podium, also achieving a personal best of 31:48 for third place. The fourth and fifth positions in the women’s race were claimed by Laura Luengo and Fatima Ouhaddou of Spain, finishing at 31:50 and 32:06, respectively, with both runners achieving personal best times.
In the men’s race, Togom continued his successful streak in Spain by clinching the 2023 Madrid Vintage Run title with a time of 26:38. This victory follows his previous win in the half marathon event held in the Spanish capital in April.
Togom was followed closely by his Kenyan teammate, Bravin Kipkogei, who secured second place and also achieved a personal best time of 27:02. Ethiopia’s Bereket Batebo claimed the third position, crossing the line in 27:17.

Morocco’s Abdelaati Iguider took fourth place, setting a personal best time of 27:40, while Kenya’s Emmanuel Kiprop rounded out the top five with a time of 27:41.
